Folks! Big Deal Coming! But first, some reminiscing...
Sometime back in the late 90s I remember coming across PINHEAD GUNPOWDER's Carry the Banner and Goodbye Ellston Avenue records via a buddy's dorm room couch. They fell hard into my regular listening rotation as I was just coming off a five year run of spinning nothing but Dischord and Sub Pop releases, so it was a welcomed break from the party. From one party to the next, I suppose.
I've been stoked to stock all these Pinhead reissues as the great, and ever-reliable, 1-2-3-4 Go! Records has been bringing them back from the Lands of the Out of Print over the years and I got a shock of electricity with the announcement of a brand new LP. It's their first new music since a 2008 7" and their first LP since the 90s. With UNT on its way out, the label asked a handful of stores to run giveaways and a listening party celebrating the release. That email was probably my quickest responded-to email that month. So that being said, here's what's going on.
BUY / PRE-ORDER THE LP!
+ At 5PM on Thursday, October 17th we will begin playing the record in the shop and we've been authorized to start selling the LP then. Come grab the record a day early! 5-7pm! We will have posters for those that do!
+ Pre-order the record as soon as it's up in the webstore! If we still have leftover posters after Thursday evening, I'll start packaging those with the online orders first-come-first served.
