Just wanted to get the word out for a couple last minute shows we’ve put together at the Pinhook for next week. This is that wonderful time of year when all our favorite DIY bands make the trek down to Gainesville, FL for No Idea Records’ The Fest. The Fest is a giant gathering of indie and punk bands from all over the country for one weekend every October. This festival celebrates the spirit of independent music and hosts hundreds of bands like Gaslight Anthem, Against Me!, Dillinger 4, Bouncing Souls, Avail, 7 Seconds, Torche, Fin Fang Foom, Colossus, Off With Their Heads, Defiance Ohio, Tiltwheel, etc, etc, etc. We were fortunate enough to snag a couple bands at the Pinhook next week as they make their way down south.

If you’re bored, if you’re curious, if you need a break from the everyday routine of life – this will definitely set your mind at ease. Carefree, feel-good indie, DIY music. The kind that’s cheerful and youthful enough to smear a smile across your sullen face. The type of shows that get you giddy with memories of those long-gone high school days.

THE COPYRIGHTS (IL. arguably one of the best pop punk bands right now. members of Dear Landlord. like Off With Their Heads.)
PRETTY BOY THORSON (MN. our favorite brothers from the north. brash outlaw country rock. playing as a two piece!)
LAST YEAR’S MEN (NC. ex-Begin-Agains! this project is way more heavy on the fuzzed-out powerpop side of life!)

Wed, 10/28

LAURA STEVENSON & THE CANS (NY. member of Bomb the Music Industry gone anti folk! like Thao/Midtown Dickens!)
THE DOPAMINES (OH. solid Lookout! Records style pop punk. on local label – Cold Feet Records!)
LOST HANDS FOUND FINGERS (OH. Hot Water Music-influenced punk/rock)

Both these shows will start at 9pm so we can have them wrapped up by midnight. You’ll definitely be home in time to still catch lots of sleep before work or school the next morning!
